Candidate held for using surgically implanted device in exam.

SAHIWAL -- A candidate for intermediate exams was caught using a mobile phone and a speaker implanted in his ear through a surgery at an examination centre in Pakpattan on Friday.

Hafiz Shafiq, chairman of the Sahiwal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE), with invigilators was inspecting the centre at the Government Higher Secondary School.

As candidates were taking the chemistry paper, while passing by a candidate, he heard mobile phone beep. The candidate in question, identified as Muhammad Farooq, had wound bandages around his neck.
