Call to make water supply scheme functional.

TIMERGARA -- The residents of Shalkandi Darra on Saturday demanded of the district administration and high-ups of public health engineering department to make water supply scheme functional in the area and insure smooth water supply to them.

Talking to local journalists, they complained that the tubewell, supplying drinking water to the residents of Hassanabad, Aminabad and Qillagai in Darra Shalkandi had been out of order for the last nine months. They said that local people were forced to fetch water from distant places.

The residents said they raised the issue several times during khuli kutcheri with the officials and also contacted the executive engineer of public health department but to no avail.
