Call to make Kagh Lusht district HQs of Upper Chitral.

CHITRAL -- Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam-Fazl leader and former member of tehsil council from Torkhow, Mohammad Said Khan Laal, on Saturday asked the government to select the state-owned plateau of Kagh Lusht instead of Booni town for establishment of district headquarters of Upper Chitral district.

Talking to mediapersons in Chitral Press Club here, he said that some elements were trying to mislead the government about the site selection for the district headquarters buildings of Upper Chitral by suggesting Booni village, which, he claimed, was quite an unfeasible idea.

He said that thousands of acres were available virtually free of cost in the 13km long and 3km wide plateau while in Booni the cost of land had been estimated at Rs3 billion.
