Call for unity of Swati tribe.

TIMERGARA -- Elders of the Swati tribe on Wednesday called for collective efforts for development of the areas inhabited by the members of the tribe.

The call was made at a meeting held at Khall with Swat Qaum central president Sherin Mohammad Swati in the chair.

The participants said Swati was a big tribe of Pakhtuns, but no efforts had ever been made to bring the tribesmen on a single platform. They said Swatis were law-abiding people and they would fight side by side the Pak Army in case of any foreign aggression. They asked the Swatis to get united for their economic development.

SPORTS COMPETITIONS CONCLUDE: The inter-schools' annual sports competitions concluded on Wednesday.

The government and private high and higher secondary schools took part in major, minor and declamation contests which had started on Oct 18.
