Businessmen want all banks opened.

PESHAWAR -- The business community has expressed serious concern over the difficulties in cash transactions due to closure of branches of many banks in the provincial metropolis and demanded of the federal government to ensure opening of all the commercial banks to facilitate the customers.

The demand was made at a meeting of the United Business Group, a group of businessmen, on Wednesday, according to a statement.

The participants said due to closure of branches, the few operational banks faced huge rush of people, which put question mark on the government efforts to ensure social distancing to contain spread of Covid-19.
