Budget will be got approved from NA this week: PM informed.

ISLAMABAD -- Some parliamentarians, federal ministers and minority members called on Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan in his chamber at Parliament house Thursday and exchanged views on the matters related to ongoing National Assembly and Senate sessions.

Babar Awan special assistant on parliamentary affairs, chief whip Aamir Dogar and others briefed PM on budget session and parliamentary matters.

They told PM that the budget will be got approved from National Assembly during the current week.

Sources said PM has directed the presence of all the MNAs of PTI and its allied parties be ensured in the house during the process of approval of budget. He himself will remain in the chamber and will take part in voting when it occurs.

He said government has given the best budget during challenging time and focus has been placed on the poor people in the budget keeping in view their resources. More funds will be spent on social sector.

A delegation of minority members also called on PM. They MNAs were Shanila Ruth, Jai Parkash and Lal Chand Malhi.-

PM said on the occasion government will ensure protection of rights of the minorities. They are enjoying full freedom in performing their religious rituals.
