Boys National Age Group Swimming starts.

LAHORE -- Sixteen events of different age groups were decided as the 26th Boys National Age Group Swimming Championships started here at the Punjab International Swimming Pool on Friday.

In the Under-12 event, Punjab with 60 points led on the first day while were Sindh (53) second followed by Army (16) and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (3).

In Under-14, Sindh are in front (137 points) with three gold, four silver and two bronze medals. Punjab (119) are following the leaders closely with three gold, two silver and three bronze medals.

Meanwhile, Sindh (120) are leading with two gold, one silver, four bronze in the U-16 category while Punjab (102) are second (one gold, five silver and one bronze). Army (80) with five gold medals are third.

12 and under:

100m butterfly: 1 Dayyan Kashif (Punjab, 1:09.66), New National Record; 2 M. Shahzaib Siddiqui (Army); 3 Mohammad Rayyan Dhedhi (Sindh)

14 and under:

200m backstroke: 1 Mohid Sadiq Lone (Punjab, 2:29.40), New National Record; 2 Daniyal Alavu (Sindh); 3 Abdur Rehman (Punjab)

200m freestyle: 1 Syed Azlan Sohail (Sindh, 2:12.66), New National Record; 2 M. Ayyan, Sindh; 3 Maikail Ahsan (Punjab)
