Boy drowns in pool.

KARACHI -- An eight-year-old boy drowned in a swimming pool in Sharafi Goth on Saturday.

Area SHO Fahad Hasan said that Hamza Shahbaz was swimming in a private swimming pool when he drowned.

The management of the pool recovered his body and handed it over to the Edhi Foundation at Murtaza Chowrangi and 'disappeared'. The body was taken to the JPMC to fulfil legal formalities. The SHO said raids were also being held to detain the owner of the pool.

Murder suspect dies

A man who attempted suicide after killing his wife and injuring his daughter two days ago on the outskirts of the city died during treatment at a hospital on Saturday, said police.

Memon Goth SHO Raja Tariq said that Juman had stabbed to death his wife, Lateefa, 50, and injured his daughter, Zubaida, 35, on April 25 inside a home. Later on, he attempted suicide by stabbing himself.
