Body formed to make S Punjab Secretariat fully functional.

LAHORE -- Chief Minister Chaudhry Parvez Elahi on Tuesday constituted a committee under provincial minister Basharat Raja to remove hurdles to make the south Punjab secretariat fully functional.

He was chairing a meeting to review proposals for improving affairs of the south Punjab Secretariat here on Tuesday.

Provincial ministers Mohsin Leghari, Akhtar Malik and Shahabuddin, PML-Q leader Moonis Elahi, Chief Secretary Abdullah Khan Sumbal, ACS retired Capt Asadullah Khan, the secretary finance, secretary regulations and others also attended the meeting. The ACS south Punjab gave a briefing to the meeting.

The CM directed those concerned to ensure utilisation of 35pc development funds allocated to south Punjab and made it clear that the incumbent government would ensure achievement of the south Punjab-related targets.
