KARACHI -- Former Pakistan Hockey Captain Olympian Islahuddin Siddiqui has said that blind people are an important pillar of our society. Almighty has endowed them with immense talents. Apart from general education, the visually impaired have shown the essence of their talents in IT and especially in the field of sports and have made Pakistan famous in the world by their high performance. He expressed these views on the occasion of the International Day for the Protection of the White Cane organized by the Karachi Sports Foundation and in collaboration with DMC South. On the occasion, the participants of the walk visited the mausoleum of the founder of Pakistan, Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and performed poems and songs related to the usefulness of white cane.
