BISP four officials of grade-17 dismissed from services for corruption.

ISLAMABAD -- The Federal government dismissed four officials of Grade-17 from their services with Benazir Income Support Program after they were found involved in corruption and getting their wives registered with the program. According to the details, the officials used their position to enrol their wives with the program. 'Rs 440, 196 has been recovered as part of Ehsas integrity and Anti-Corruption drive,' said Sania Nishtar-the head of Benazir Income Support Program. She also shared the lists of four officials of BISP who were dismissed from service over charges of corruption. On Friday, the federal government issued showcause notices to officials who took benefit from Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP). According to the sources, an inquiry was launched into the matter on the orders of Prime Minister Imran Khan who expressed displeasure when he was presented a report on the officials who were getting benefit of the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP).

The government employees and servants of railways were drawing money from monthly payments of BISP. The government removed over 2, 543 senior officials from the BISP list and officials from Balochistan and Sindh. The sources said that the Sindhi government officials were at the top in getting benefit of BISP.
