Bisham residents ask Pesco to energise supply line.

SHANGLA -- Residents of various areas of Bisham tehsil have demanded of Pesco to energise a supply line laid down two years ago to ensure electricity supply to their localities.

Talking to reporters here on Monday, they said the power supply line had been laid before the 2018 general elections, but it could not be energised since then.

Rashid Ahmed, a resident Banju area, said they were living without electricity in the modern age. 'Politicians only come to the area during election campaigns. We have time and again demanded energising the power supply line to our area, but to no avail,' he deplored.

Attaur Rehman of Khatak Sar area said Pesco had yet to provide transformers to energise the supply line. The residents demanded of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government to order Pesco to install transformers to energise the power supply line.
