BISE payment issue: Governor sends teacher's complaint to ombudsman for redressal.

TOBA TEK SINGH -- Governor Chaudhry Sarwar has forwarded to the Punjab Ombudsman Secretariat's secretary a complaint for taking appropriate action to implement his order issued on May 31 in which he rejected an appeal of the Faisalabad Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) chairman against a decision of ombudsman.

The ombudsman had issued the order in November 2018 for Faisalabad BISE chairman, asking him not to decrease payment of paper marking or other duties of teachers for the board examinations of matriculation and to make payments for the services they had rendered for 2018 annual exam fixed under a circular issued by BISE in 2016.

Zafar Asif, a teacher at the Government High School, Toba Tek Singh, also a leader of Toba chapter of the Punjab Teachers Union, had filed a petition before the ombudsman against the Faisalabad BISE chairman's decision of decreasing the rate of payment for their duties rendered for 2018.
