Biometric attendance at health facilities.

LAHORE -- Punjab Minister for Primary and Secondary Healthcare Dr Akhtar Malik has issued directions to all the health chief executive officers (CEOs) and medical superintendents to ensure display of panaflexes reflecting details of free medicines and Toll Free No.1033 at main entry points of government hospitals for awareness of visiting patients.

Addressing a conference of the health CEOs and MSs of the state-run hospitals in Punjab here on Wednesday, the minister said the biometric attendance system in all the health facilities would be made functional from Jan 13 (tomorrow).

'Now if any medical officer is reported absent, the concerned CEO health will be held responsible,' he warned.

Dr Akhtar Malik directed the respective officers in the conference to make appointments of regular MOs at all the BHUs and RHCs.
