BBH gets laboratory for Covid-19 test.

RAWALPINDI -- The Punjab government has set up a separate laboratory at Benazir Bhutto Hospital with the help of National Institute of Health (NIH) for Covid-19 test.

Deputy Commissioner retired Capt Anwarul Haq told Dawn that the laboratory was made functional at the hospital from Monday and it would help the administration to conduct tests of coronavirus speedily.

'The laboratory had the capacity to conduct 100 to 120 tests in 24 hours and it will save the time which was consumed on taking swabs to NIH and bringing the report,' he said.

He said the provincial government had given special funds for establishing the laboratory at the local hospital.
