Balochistan govt conducting own accountability, says Alyani.

QUETTA -- Balochistan Chief Minister Jam Kamal Khan Alyani has said that for improving his government's performance and resolving problems the process of reshuffling the cabinet will continue.

Talking to newsmen after visiting the ailing Balochistan Assembly Speaker Mir Abdul Qudoos Bizenjo at the Civil Hospital on Sunday, he said: 'As long as I am chief minister, I will continue to pay full attention to my work.'

Mr Alyani said his government was making efforts to come up to expectations of the people who had given mandate to it.

He said his government was doing self-accountability.

'It will be shameful if the performance of two or three hospitals of Quetta cannot be improved,' he said.

The chief minister said people who were responsible for wrongdoings in the health department would be identified and punished.

'Changes have been made in the health department as its performance has not been satisfactory during the past six months,' he said.

The chief minister said with the change of health secretary there would be improvement in the sector.

He said an investigation would be conducted to asc whether the former minister, secretary, director general were responsible for the present situation in the health department.

Mr Alyani, however, said that the department had improved in rural areas, while surgery had been started in small towns, but there was a lot of room for improvement.
