Balochistan Assembly session adjourned for lack of quorum.

QUETTA -- Deputy Speaker Babar Musakhail on Saturday adjourned the Balochistan Assembly session till Tuesday because of lack of quorum.

At the outset of the session, which commenced with a delay of about two and half hour, Balochistan National

Party MPA Shakeela Naveed Dehwar pointed out lack of quorum. The deputy speaker rang the bell, calling the legislators to have their seats and, after waiting for 30 minutes, adjourned the proceedings.

Criticising the provincial government over its non-seriousness, the opposition parties said that Balochistan was facing myriad problems but the government was not willing to discuss public issues in the assembly.

'The assembly is not being run according to democratic rules and the provincial government isn't showing sincerity to the opposition's grievances,' leaders of the opposition parties said at a joint press conference.
