Bajaur transporters reject 'fine' by Mohmand elders.

BAJAUR -- Transporters here on Saturday condemned the elders of Qandaro area of neighbouring Mohmand district for asking a bus owner to pay compensation to the families of two motorcyclists, who were killed on the main Bajaur-Peshawar Road a week ago.

Speaking at a meeting held at the main bus terminal in Khar here, the representatives of all Bajaur transporters association alleged the Mohamand area elders' decision was tantamount to taking law into their own hands.

The transporters lashed out at the residents of Qandaro for damaging the bus after two motorcyclists were killed. They claimed the people had also attacked two buses coming to Bajaur a day after the motorcyclists' deaths.
