Bajaur transporters protest action against private bus stands.

BAJAUR -- Transporters here on Tuesday demonstrated against the Khar tehsil municipal administration for forcibly closing several private bus stands.

The agitated transporters blocked the busy Khar-Inayat Kallay Road to traffic for several hours.

The transporters along with their vehicles assembled on the road after the TMA officials started crackdown on private bus stations in different areas of the Bajaur tribal district for operating 'illegally'.

The protesters chanted slogans against the TMA officials for the action and termed it an injustice with them. They insisted all the private bus stands were legal and established with the permission of the district administration and TMA.

Addressing the protesters, All Bajaur transport union president Mir Azhar, general secretary Kaleemullah, Inayat Kallay traders' association president Imran Mahir and others codenamed the TMA action.
