Bajaur police complain about delay in provision of facilities.

BAJAUR -- Police personnel here in Bajaur have complained about the prolonged delay in provision of facilities being enjoyed by the police force in settled districts of the province and called for an early action in this regard.

They raised their issues at the Police Darbar (gathering) held during the visit of regional police officer, Malakand division, Sajjad Khan at the Jirga Hall in Civil Colony, Khar, the other day.

A large number of police personnel, including district police officer Shaukat Ali, were in attendance.

Speaking at the darbar, some station house officers and other officials highlighted the issues of the local police.

The RPO was informed that a total of 2,441 personnel of former Levies and Khasadar forces were merged into regular police force in Bajaur.

However, the officials said that most of the approved facilities and privileges were yet to be given to the Bajaur police despite passage of about three years of their absorption in the KP police.
