Baitul Mal cheque distribution ceremony held.

TAXILA -- Punjab Minister for Revenue retired Col Mohammad Anwar praised the Baitul Mal for transparently serving underprivileged members of society at a cheque distribution ceremony on Monday.

A number of people received cheques at the event, which was held at the Pindigheb municipal committee office.

Mr Khan said the Baitul Mal is playing an active role in extending monetary support to poor families. He later distributed cheques of Rs5,000 each to 18 people as a form of financial support.

Pakistan Baitul Mal (PBM) Deputy Director Zeeshan Sial said that PBM will begin a programme to help families living in quarantine during the coronavirus pandemic in various cities.

The minister later visited Ehsaas Kafalat Programme cash disbursement centres in Pindigheb town, where he spoke to recipients of government assistance.
