Azadi March to harm interests of nation, says Qaiser.

SWABI -- National Assembly Speaker Asad Qaiser said here the other day that the march planned by opposition was against the interests of the nation because the country was passing through a difficult period and needed a peaceful environment.

Addressing two functions regarding upgradation of schools in Zaida, he said that protests at that time could bring the country to a point of no return. 'If they fail to adopt a reconciliatory approach then the opposition parties would be responsible for the entire mess,' he added.

Mr Qaiser said that the country and democratic institutions might be damaged with the unjust protest and march on Islamabad. 'The PTI government inherited weak economy from the previous governments. The great problem is that institutions have been weakened by the previous regimes,' he alleged.

He said that the steps were taken to improve economy. Slowly and gradually, the frail economy of the country would be put on track but opposition parties should give up the negative approach, he added.
