Attock launches Volunteer Tiger Force.

TAXILA -- With 8,123 volunteers including teachers, health workers, engineers, lawyers, doctors, social workers and young people, the Volunteer Tiger Force was formally launched in Attock on Monday.

The launch following training and orientation for volunteers in the district's six tehsils.

It was attended by Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Youth Affairs Usman Dar, Adviser to the Prime Minister on Climate Change Malik Amin Aslam, Attock Deputy Commissioner Ali Anan Qamar, officials from the district administration and local PTI politicians.

Mr Dar said at the ceremony would 700,000 young people have registered for the force across Punjab, of which 64,000 have been assigned responsibilities.

He said the force would be launched at the level of union councils and deputy and assistant commissioners would monitor operational matters. Volunteers will facilitate the functioning of utility stores and ensure the implementation of coronavirus prevention standard operating procedures (SOP) in mosques, help manage quarantine facilities, identity profiteering and hoarding and...
