LAHORE -- The Lahore High Court on Thursday granted interim bail to former Law Minister of Punjab Rana Sanaullah until March 25 in a case pertaining to assets beyond known source of income. According to details, a two-member bench of LHC headed by Justice Ali Baqir Najafi took up the plea. He alleged that the NAB being used for political victimization. The LHC bench sought a detailed answer from the National Accountability Bureau (NAB).

The court granted bail to Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PMLN) leader and ordered him to submit two surety bonds of Rs five lac each, as security deposit for the bail. Rana Sanaullah approached the Lahore High Court for interim bail over NAB's notice to summon him for an ongoing investigation against him for allegedly making assets beyond the source of income. On January 27, the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) decided to investigate Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Rana Sanaullah' wife, daughter and son-in-law in a case pertaining to assets beyond known source of income.
