Asif storms into World Snooker knockouts.

KARACHI -- Former world champion Mohammad Asif continued his winning spree and ensured a place into the knockout round from group C following 4-1 victory over Ross Symes (Jersey) in the IBSF World Snooker Championships in Turkish city of Antalya on Thursday.

According to information made available here, with two wins already under his belt, Asif was home (22-74, 70-10, 73-25, 68-33, 55-17.

Meanwhile, Asif's compatriot Babar Masih chalked up 4-1 victory over Czech Republic's Osip Zusmanovic (84-1, 46-58, 71-30, 96-13, 80-4) to keep his chances alive for the knockout round.

Former Pakistan No 2 Zulfiqar Qadir's century break went in vain as he suffered 3-4 loss at the hands of Russain Ivan Kakovskii in group A opener.
