ISLAMABAD -- The National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) has reported that the COVID-19 positivity ratio across the country has reached 7.20 percent.

Federal Minister for Planning, Development and Special Initiatives Asad Umar chaired the NCOC meeting to analyze the coronavirus situation.

According to details, positivity rate of the pandemic has touched 17.73 percent in Karachi, 16.32 percent in Hyderabad, 11.49 in Rawalpindi, 10.34 in Muzaffarabad, 9.77 in Quetta, 4.52 in Lahore and 19.65 percent in Pershawar, .

Whereas 13.25 in Sindh, 10.79 in Azad Kashmir, 9.25 in Khyber Pakhtunkhawa, 6.41 percent in Balochistan, 5.84 in Islamabad, 4.81 percent in Gilgit-Baltistan and 3.59 in Punjab.

The participants of NCOC meeting were also briefed on the meetings with religious scholars and marriage halls associations.

Asad Umer said that protection of people and measures for their health is our top priority, the Ministry of Health has directed strict implementations of SOPs, in this regard.

All the provinces must ensure implementation of the health guidelines, he urged.
