Asad Qaiser hints at Govt, Opposition agreement over CEC nomination by tomorrow.

CHARSADDA -- Speaker National Assembly Asad Qaiser on Saturday hoped that the government and the opposition will likely to reach an agreement over appointment of the Chief Election Commissioner (CECP) tomorrow (Monday). He said the meetings regarding the appointment of CEC and ECP members were held on Thursday and Friday and it will be held again tomorrow (Monday). Asad Qaiser said that we want that the parliament should make decision as parliament is supreme and parliament should make its own decisions. He said that if the matter was not resolved in parliament then it will go in court but he is hopeful that the decision regarding the matter will be made by tomorrow (Monday).

Addressing a gathering in Charsadda on Saturday, the NA Speaker said that the government's consultations were underway with the opposition over the nomination.
