Army personnel get training in flood emergency.

KOHAT -- Rescue 1122 officials on Tuesday imparted training to Army personnel in securing people in case of floods and providing first aid to the injured.

On the directives of director general Rescue 1122, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Dr Khateer Ahmed, district emergency officer Jawad Khalil and in-charge of the training wing Yasir Khattak visited the 14 Engineering Unit of the Army and imparted training to the personnel in clearing affected areas, restoring breathing of fainted people and shifting injured people to hospitals.

Separately, speakers at an awareness workshop held here the other day said under the amended Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Local Government Law, local body members could face action if they failed to resolve public issues in a timely manner.
