Arms smuggling bid foiled.

RAWALPINDI -- The motorway police foiled an attempt to smuggle a large quantity of arms and ammunition near Motorway MI Burhan, adding they could have been be used in an act of terrorism.

The suspects were bringing weapons from Peshawar, near Burhan when the police signalled the vehicle to stop as it appeared suspicious.

He said the suspects drove away instead of stopping.
