Armed clash leaves two dead in Kahna.

LAHORE -- Two persons died while as many others were injured during an armed clash between two groups of residents at Kahna on Saturday.

The armed men clashed after both sides exchanged hot words with each other on social media, a police officer said.

He said Kashif and his rivals Aqib and others abused and exchanged hot words on social media over a petty issue and then challenged each other for a live encounter.

As they left their homes, they came across at Gajjumata and resorted to massive firing causing an unrest and panic in the area.

During crossfire, the police official said, Yaqub (35),Kashif (28), Shahzad (22), Rashid and others suffered bullet injuries and were rushed to a local hospital.

He said Yaqub and Shahzad died shortly after reaching the hospital while condition of Kashif was stated to be serious, the police official said.
