Applications invited for youth theatre residency programme.

LAHORE -- The International Association of Theatre for Children and Young People (ASSITEJ) Pakistan has announced its call for applications for the fourth Next Generation programme.

Next Generation is a theatre residency programme through which nearly 30 young creators -- 15 from Pakistan and 15 international -- come together for 11 days to co-create short performances. It brings emerging artists together to share, exchange, learn and present, and comprises showcasing of projects and works, discussion sessions, development of collaborative performances and their presentation.

This year, artists from Pakistan, Mexico, Italy, the US, Russia, Iceland, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Australia, Malawi, Lithuania, Finland and Uganda are set to attend the workshops that will be held from Feb 8 to 18 in Lahore.
