Anti-encroachment drive ordered in Kaghan, Naran.

ABBOTTABAD/MANSEHRA -- Commissioner Hazara Riaz Khan Mehsud has ordered anti-encroachment operation in Kaghan and Naran tourist areas.

The decision was taken in the board meeting of Kaghan Development Board (KDA) at his office. It was attended by officials of Mansehra district administration and KDA board members besides representatives of line departments and National Highways Authority.

The meeting decided to launch an operation from Sunday (tomorrow) against encroachments on Mansehra-Naran-Jalkhad (MNJ) road and remove in the first phase as many as 129 illegal structures, including hotels, shops and houses, which had already been served notices.

The second phase would be started soon after clearing snow from the road leading to Naran.

Sources said that the commissioner, who is also chairman of KDA board of governors, had taken stern action against illegal construction of hotels and encroachments on Mansehra-Babusar road along Kunhar River wherein a number of violators had been arrested.
