ANP plans Bacha Khan Week.

PESHAWAR -- The Awami National Partyhere on Thursday announced the schedule for multiple activities to be organised during Bacha Khan Week, which would be observed from Jan 20 to 27.

The celebrations will culminate in a two-day seminar on the life of Bacha Khan (Abdul Ghaffar Khan) and Abdul Wali Khan on Jan 28 and 29 in Islamabad.

ANP provincial president Aimal Wali Khan and other stalwarts, leaders of various political parties, civil rights activists, journalists and public figures will take part in these activities and programmes.

According to a statement issued here, the activities also include launching of new books and seminars. A cultural show will be organised in the event.

Celebrations to start on 20th

On the second day of celebrations on Jan 21, a lecture and seminar would be organised by Pakhtun Students Federation, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, in which poets and writers from across the province will participate.

On the third day, the anniversary ceremony of Bacha Khan and Wali Khan will be held under the auspices of ANP Peshawar in which provincial general secretary Sardar Hussain Babak will share his views.

The foundation stone-laying ceremony of Bacha Khan Trust Complex will be held in Charsadda on Jan 23.
