National Transmission and Despatch Company (NTDC) is vigorously pursuing its plan for removal of system constraints in the south region. Recently, a 250 MVA Auto Transformer at 220 kV Grid Station Shikarpur has been successfully augmented from 160 MVA rating and energized by NTDC's Project Delivery (South) team. The augmentation work will enhance the transmission capacity of the grid station to cater the growing demand of domestic, commercial and agri consumers of connected DISCOs.

It is pertinent to note that NTDC has planned and initiated a phase-wise System Constraints Removal Plan throughout the country.
