Anger, loathing as load-shedding disrupts people's lives in Karachi.

KARACHI -- With the mercury consecutively touching almost 40 degrees Celsius in Karachi since the past few days, the residents found themselves in added misery as over 12-hours long unannounced load-shedding continued unabated.

According to the details, load-shedding continued in the metropolis, making life difficult for residents. Meanwhile, K-Electric linked the outages to a demand-and-supply gap and a shortage of furnace oil.

Areas in the city experienced 8 to 12 hours of persistent power outages, adding to the misery of residents already suffering from the sweltering temperatures.
