ANF seizes 3.98 tons drugs in 23 operations, 23 arrested.

RAWALPINDI -- Anti Narcotics Force (ANF) has seized 3.98 tons narcotics valuing US $148.75 million in international market, arrested 23 accused and impounded 11 vehicles while conducting 23 counter-narcotics strikes throughout the country.

According to an ANF spokesman, the seized drugs comprised of 3860.9 kg hashish, 93.458 kg heroin, 22.280 kg methamphetamine (Ice) and 3.6 kg opium.

ANF Balochistan, Police Station ANF Quetta intercepted a vehicle near Bakra Mandi situated at Killi Umer Daraz, Airport Road, Quetta and recovered 13 kg hashish. An accused namely Muhammad Naeem resident of Kuchlak was arrested.

In another operation, the staff of Police Station Regional Directorate Balochistan recovered 1500 kgs hashish from Killi Daman, Tehsil Gulistan, Qilla Abdullah district.

In third operation, Police Station ANF Hub intercepted a motorcycle at RDC Road opposite petrol pump in Hub City, Wadh district and recovered 1.500 kgs hashish from Ahmed Khan r/o Khuzdar. In fourth operation, Police Station Regional Directorate Balochistan recovered 1727 kgs hashish stored at Killi Pinkal, Gulistan tehsil, Qilla Abdullah district.

In fifth operation, the staff of Police Station ANF Punjgur intercepted an unattended motorcycle near Football Chowk, Gharmakan, Panjgur district and recovered 10 kgs hashish.

KP ANF, acting on a tip-off, Police Station Regional Directorate Peshawar in collaboration with FC KP (North), Khyber Rifles intercepted a motorcycle near Shaikh Khan Check Post, Khyber and recovered 2.400 kg hashish from Zubair and Hashmat both r/o of Peshawar.

In another operation, KP ANF on a tip-off, Police Station ANF Peshawar in collaboration with KP FC North, Chitral Scouts seized 25 kg opium. In third operation, Police Station ANF Peshawar intercepted a truck at Kohat Road and recovered 439.200 kgs hashish and arrested two accused persons namely Noor Qadir and Sakhi Noor Khan both r/o Miran Shah.

In fourth operation, Police Station Regional Directorate ANF KP in collaboration with FC KP (North), Khyber Rifles raided near Shalobar Check Post and seized 2.4 kg hashish.

Punjab ANF, 22 Wing Rangers Kasur handed over three accused namely Hans Raj alias Hassan, Ali Raza and Muhammad Nawaz, all r/o Kasur to ANF Lahore along with recovery of 4.200 kg heroin. In another...
