All tehsils of tribal districts to get Rescue 1122 service.

PESHAWAR -- Rescue 1122 services are being extended to all tehsils of the merged tribal districts, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Mahmood Khan was told on Tuesday.Officials told a meeting chaired by the chief minister on the relief department's development projects that for the extension of emergency services to all tehsils of the merged districts, 1,800 posts had been created, while recruitment on 1,193 posts had been completed.

They said the remaining 623 posts would be filled in the next couple of weeks.

According to them, the newly-created posts, include seven of BPS-18, 13 of BPS-17, 222 of BPS-16, 26 of BPS-14, 476 of BPS-12, 140 of BPS-11, 508 of BPS-6, 20 of BPS-5, 26 of BPS-2 and 160 of BPS-1.

Necessary training of the newly-recruited rescue personnel will begin in the next couple of days.

The officials said rescue stations were being established in 15 tehsils of merged district at the cost Rs2.4 billion, while rescue services in Jamrud, Bara, Ghalanai and Khar areas had been begun.

They also said work on the establishment of rescue stations in Kalai, Yaka Ghund, Nawogai, Miramshah, Razmak, Wana, Ladda and Sadda had been initiated.

According to officials, land acquisition for these facilities in Landi Kotal, Ghalju and Parachinar is in progress. Rs6.765 billion has been released as compensation for the damaged businesses in North Waziristan tribal district.

The chief minister directed the relevant authorities to complete all development projects of the merged tribal areas within the stipulated time to benefit the residents.
