All set for 7th Thal Jeep Rally.

MUZAFFARGARH -- All arrangements have been completed, including the preparation of a 190km long track, for the 7th Thal Desert Jeep Rally in Muzaffargarh and Kot Addu districts.

This was stated by Deputy Commissioner Samiullah Farooq while presiding over a meeting on Saturday.

He said the track would start from Changa Manga Forest in Muzaffargarh and after going through districts of Kot Addu and Layyah it would end in the same forest.

The DC said that in order to provide healthy entertainment to the public during the jeep rally, javelin throw, horse riding, kabaddi matches, fireworks and music shows would be organised to showcase the traditional sports and culture of the area.

The deputy commissioner said police checkpoints had been set up along the track while medical and rescue camps would also be established to deal with any emergency.

Registration of vehicles, the medical examination of the drivers and the drawing of lots would be held at Buch Villas, Multan, on Nov 17. Qualifying competitions for...
