AJK legislative assembly approves Rs139.5bn budget.

MUZAFFARABAD -- The Legislative Assembly of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) on Tuesday unanimously approved annual budget of the state for fiscal year 2020-21 with a total outlay of Rs139.5 billion.

Speaker Shah Ghulam Qadir presided over the session. The house also accorded approval to the revised budget of the current year, to the tune of Rs118.7bn, without any objection.

Finance Minister Dr Najeeb Naqi expressed his gratitude to lawmakers from both sides of the divide, for unanimously approving the budget document.
