AJK govt approves Rs. 2.8 billion LG & RD Council budget.

MIRPUR ( AJK) -- While chairing a high-level meeting of the Local Government and Rural Development (LG and RD) Coordinating Council Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Sardar Tanveer Ilyas on Thursday approved the budget of two billion and eighty crore rupees for the financial year 2022-23.

While approving the council's budget for the financial year 2022-23, PM AJK directed to give priority to public welfare and ensure that the provision of basic amenities of life to the people in rural areas.

He said that the quality of work should be ensured and the monitoring system should be made effective. He also directed that the Union Council buildings should be completed at the earliest.

Sardar Tanveer said that the new projects of water supply and suspended bridge should be constructed on priority basis.

On this occasion, Additional Chief Secretary Local Government Ehsan Khalid Kayani briefed on the council's budget.
