AIOU dispatches free of cost admission forms to prisoners.

ISLAMABAD -- Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) has dispatched prospectuses and admissions forms to the prisoners free of cost under its earlier initiated programme to extend educational facilities to the inmates

The programme offered by the university in the 1st phase of spring 2021 admissions include matriculation, FA (General) and FA (Dars e Nizami).

Prisoners have been instructed to submit the admission forms by February 22, 2021.

Prof Dr Zia Ul- Qayyum is keenly interested in the education of jail inmates to make them responsible citizens of the country.

Tutorial meetings and examinations would be held within the premises of prisons and these would be declared as 'prisoners study centres.
