AIOU bags 2nd position in Plastic Waste Management competition.

ISLAMABAD -- Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) has secured the second position in "Plastic Waste Management" competition, organized by Unilever Pakistan and SEED under the 'Pakistan Research Program'.

Mahnoor Shirin and Fatiya Tariq, both students of BS Chemistry at AIOU, were awarded second position among 26 teams representing 11 universities from across the country.

A function was organized by the Department of Chemistry at AIOU to appreciate the talented students.

Dean, Faculty of Sciences, Prof Dr. Irshad Ahmed Arshad presided over the event while Chairperson, Chemistry Department, Dr. Uzma Younis hosted the event.

Chairperson, Biology Department, Dr. Hina Fatima, Chairperson, Department of Nutritional Sciences and Environmental Design, Dr. Hajra Ahmed, Kamal Nasir, and other faculty members also attended the event.

Dr. Irshad Ahmed Arshad emphasized that Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) placed a great emphasis on research and innovation.
