AIG suspends three 'inept' officers, retains DSP facing probe.

HYDERABAD -- Additional Inspector General (AIG) of Hyderabad region Ghulam Qadir Thebo on Thursday suspended three inspectors - SHO of Husri police station Inspector Javed Jalbani, SHO of Hussainabad police station Inspector Asad Nabi Khichi and District Intelligence Bureau (DIB) in-charge Inspector Junaid Abbasi - on general complaints of corruption and their failure to control crime within their areas.

According to AIG (establishment) Attaullah Chandio, the DIB in-charge also failed to report performances of various police stations to the Hyderabad SSP.

AIG Thebo has also posted Faheem Farooqui as the Chhalgari SDPO though he is still facing an inquiry under the AIG's May 28 order.

The inquiry pertains to a tussle between DSP Farooqui and SHO of the Pinyari police station Niaz Panhwar over patronage of 'beaters' (who act as a bridge between criminals and corrupt police officers in unlawful transactions and activities) within the limits of the Phulleli and Pinyari police stations.

An audio clip of the DSP had gone viral on social media in which DSP was believe to be talking to the AIG and complaining that he had time and again reported SHO Panhwar's issues to the SSP but to no avail.

AIG Thebo ordered an inquiry against the DSP and SHO which is being conducted by Sujawal SP Suhai Aziz. She is being assisted by Inspector Siraj Lashari.
