LAHORE -- Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Senator Sirajul Haq has said that agents of the British colonialists have been ruling over the country for decades in the form of feudal lords and capitalists.

Talking to a gathering on occasion of PTI leader Malk Sajjad Ahmad Vanice joining of the JI in Multan, he said there was need to bring land reforms to get rid of the imperialistic mindset and put the country on the path of development, according to a press release issued from JI headquarters Mansoora on Monday.

Quoting survey reports, he said the southern Punjab was topped the areas which were most deprived from the basic health and education facilities. The people of southern areas of Punjab must realize now that to whom they vote for in every election had nothing to do with the problems of the masses, he said.

Senator Sirajul Haq said the PTI made tall claims to change the destiny of the southern Punjab but it could not introduce a single reform or any mega project in the area despite passage of 22 months in power. He asked the people to vote for the JI if they wanted real change and resolve their problems. He congratulated Malk Sajjad for joining the JI which was the only party having no concept of family politics.
