Afghan refugees get financial assistance.

PESHAWAR -- The Ministry of States and Frontier Regions (Safron) and United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) in collaboration with Pakistan Post, started disbursement of emergency cash assistance to the most vulnerable refugee families impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

An official statement said that first distribution was carried out at Chamkani post office in Peshawar. Bernard Inkoom, head of UNHCR sub-office in Peshawar, Zaheerullah Khattak, deputy postmaster general of Pakistan Post, Mohammad Shafee Murad, and deputy director of Afghan Ministry for Refugees and Repatriation and officials of the Commissionerate for Afghan Refugees attended the ceremony
