Advice from public authorities, experts must before cricket resumption: FICA.

KARACHI -- The resumption of cricketing activities seem likely in about a month's time because the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) has vowed to put in place adequate bio security arrangements for hosting the West Indies and Pakistan teams from July to September this year.

The relevant cricket authorities have taken the decisions in consultation with each other as well as with the affiliated cricket boards.

The Federation of International Cricketers Associations (FICA) on Monday said everyone is wanting to get back to playing sport and cricket as soon as possible, including the players, provided it is safe to do so.

Taking to this correspondent, the chief operating officer (CEO) of FICA Tom Moffat said: 'Given this is a public health crisis first and foremost, return to play should only be contemplated if the various risks to the public, players, and staff health are manageable and can be mitigated.

'There is a continuum of potential scenarios in relation to return to play. Evidence and science should inform which measures need to be in place to ensure a safe workplace is provided for...
