ADB delegation calls on Wapda chairman.

LAHORE -- A five-member delegation from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) called on Wapda Chairman retired Lt-Gen Sajjad Ghani on Monday.

The group, led by ADB Country Director Yong Ye, was briefed on Wapda's plan to bring inexpensive, cost-effective and environmentally friendly hydel electricity to the national grid in order to stabilise power rates across the country.

According to Mr Yong Ye, 'The ADB and Wapda have been partners in the development of water and hydroelectric resources in Pakistan for a long time.'
