Activists condemn humiliation of presiding officer in Islamkot.

MITHI -- A presiding officer posted in Islamkot town in first phase of local government election was tortured and abused by a local Pakistan Peoples Party leader at a polling station.

A video clip that went viral after election shows Dr Ghansham being beaten up and abused by the PPP leader, Ghulam Mohammad Junejo, in Islamkot town.

Mr Junejo is said to be an employee of health department in district health office, Mithi.

People from different walks of life condemned the incident and shared pictures of the political activist with PPP co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari, asking the party's top leadership to register FIR against the tormentor and have him arrested.
