Action sought against non-local rickshaw drivers in Swat.

MINGORA -- Swat Rickshaw Drivers Union and members of civil society have demanded of the district administration to take stern action against non-local rickshaw drivers.

Talking to journalists here, they said different tehsils of Swat were full of illegal and non-local rickshaws that caused huge traffic jam and affected the local rickshaw drivers financially.

They said that administration had promised to take action against illegal rickshaw drivers and introduce a proper plan for the local rickshaw drivers but no practical steps were taken in that regard.

Jahanzeb, the president of rickshaw drivers union, said that owing to influx of non-local rickshaw owners badly affected the income of local rickshaw drivers.
