Action demanded against ex-MPA over 'recruitment anomalies'.

LOWER DIR -- Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf, Maidan chapter on Saturday demanded of the party chief Imran Khan and provincial president Pervez Khattak to initiate action against the PTI's former lawmaker Liaqat Ali for recruiting his near and dear ones in different departments.

The demand was made during a workers' convention held in Kumbar area here.

On the occasion, former MNA Bashir Khan, former district councillor Abdullah Shah, Dr Saleem, Asadullah Durrani, Abdul Wahab Bukhari and others alleged Liaqat Ali had recruited 30 of his relatives in different departments, ignoring the party workers who had M.Phil and PhD degrees.

They said the party workers would be free to decide if the leadership awarded the election ticket again to the former lawmaker.

They expressed solidarity with the party chief Imran Khan and announced to send hundreds of workers to Zaman Park, Lahore, for safeguarding him.

DEMAND: The Lower Dir chapter of the federally-ruling Pakistan Democratic Movement on Saturday demanded accountability of the 'corrupt' politicians before announcing the elections.
